These boots, the flagship model in the Racing line, are the result of Gaerne's research and development in collaboration with professional riders, demonstrating the company's dedication to innovation and performance.
The Gaerne Floating Pivot System (GFPS) in carbon composite provides optimal lateral support, preventing excessive compression and hyperextension, allowing the rider to move naturally on the pedal.
The adjustable calf closure system, equipped with a replaceable BOA IP1 dial, allows for a customized fit, accommodating larger sizes. The closure is completed by an internal zipper that works in synergy with an elastic insert near the ankle, facilitating the closure of the boot. The internal rubber Grip Guard improves grip on the bike and protects against engine/exhaust heat.
The lightweight upper is made of microfiber, a high-tech material designed for optimal abrasion resistance. Stretch inserts on the instep ensure a snug fit, providing a high level of comfort and enhancing natural forefoot and rearfoot movement. The replaceable, injected PU front shin plate is anatomically shaped to provide optimal support and features an interchangeable nylon slider. Additionally, the PU shift pad ensures maximum sensitivity when shifting gears while offering additional support to the toe.
Internally, the boot features a breathable lining and strategically designed ankle padding with variable thicknesses for maximum comfort.
The removable and washable, anatomically designed insole ensures complete support for all parts of the foot.
The sole, featuring a multi-density tread with distinct grip zones and an integrated profile with the upper, ensures superior traction on footpegs and controls, and greater resistance to wear and abrasion from asphalt. Interchangeable magnesium sliders at the toe and heel facilitate sliding on asphalt.
