The SRL-EXT is designed specifically for the SHOEI NXR2 helmet. The SRL-EXT main module and external battery are curved to fit the surface of the NXR2. Users have the option to mount the SRL-EXT with a clip or adhesive mount. The SRL-EXT main module mounts on the left side of the helmet and the external battery on the right side.

The SRL-EXT speakers and microphone were designed in collaboration with audio experts at Harman Kardon to deliver premium sound to your SHOEI helmet. Expertly crafted speakers and a brand new microphone allow the SRL-EXT to deliver an unparalleled audio experience. Audio from the speakers is crisp and clear, and the microphone, thanks to a specially designed sensor, ensures solid performance. Users can choose between using the boom or wired microphone. The SRL-EXT offers both Mesh Intercom™ and traditional 4-way Bluetooth Intercom, allowing connection to any Sena or powered by Sena device. The Mesh Intercom™ communication platform has two modes: Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom™ (Open Mesh) and Group Mesh Intercom™.

Open Mesh is the industry’s first all-channel Mesh Intercom™ system. Like standard handheld or CB radios, Open Mesh lets riders switch between nine channels. Open Mesh lets you connect to the Mesh Intercom™ network with the push of a button and supports a virtually unlimited number of riders within a range of up to 5 miles (8 km) (min. 6 riders at 1 mile intervals).

Group Mesh supports a single private group of up to 24 riders with the same range as Open Mesh except that only invited riders can join the Group Mesh chat. Open Mesh and Group Mesh provide unmatched audio quality and robust connectivity.

Voice commands let you control SRL-EXT system functions, such as answering the phone or starting a Group Mesh session. The SRL-EXT supports voice commands in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Russian.

Need to stop for lunch? “Hey Google, directions to the nearest rest stop.” The SRL-EXT can connect to Google Assistant and Apple Siri with a simple voice command, allowing you to take advantage of your smartphone's features, including GPS navigation, music playback, voice dialing, and a variety of other options.
