The co-injected shoulder with a metal insert is one of the most revolutionary solutions found on Dainese garments. The usual removable composite protector is replaced by an injection of plastic material onto an external polyurethane-coated mesh, to which the metal plate is attached. This solution allows the protector, certified to the EN 1621.1 standard, to maintain the correct position on the shoulder in all situations while taking up less space, improving rider comfort.

The composite protectors on the shoulders, elbows, and knees, certified to the EN 1621.1 standard, offer a high level of protection thanks to their unique construction. A rigid plastic outer shell distributes impact energy across the entire protector through a patented mesh structure, which distributes and absorbs impact over a large surface area while maintaining a lighter weight and greater thickness. The interior of the protector, made of ultra-high-density expanded polyethylene, features high deformability and memory, adapting to the body's shape for greater comfort. This is further enhanced by the perforated outer structure, which facilitates breathability.

This new Dainese patent stems from ergonomic research and is designed to further enhance riding comfort while maintaining a high level of safety. The combination of an elastic fabric insert under the leather panel allows for localized micro-elasticity in areas where the body requires greater mobility, while also increasing the area's abrasion resistance. This is achieved by reducing the number of panels and the seams connecting them, as well as maintaining a thicker panel than traditional elastic inserts.
