A focus on ergonomics led to studies on riding positions, perfecting details designed to reduce neck pressure, such as the Veloce Racing Neck, and ensuring maximum comfort and mobility by integrating the wide, bi-elastic S1 fabric and adjustment systems at the hips. Riding comfort combines with superior levels of protection. Certified to EN 17092 Class AA, the Racing 5 jacket features CE Level 2 composite protectors on the elbows and shoulders, as well as replaceable aluminum inserts on the shoulders that ensure a more natural sliding movement in the event of a fall, and a pocket designed to accommodate Type G back and chest protectors. Thanks to studies on the correct fit, the jacket can be comfortably worn over the Dainese Smart Air airbag device without having to purchase a larger size. The proper fit of the sleeves prevents the protectors from shifting in the wrong area during a fall, thus always ensuring maximum protection for riders. Furthermore, the loops that attach the Smart Air to the jacket allow the rider to put it on and take it off in a single movement, so that the airbag always maintains the correct position under the jacket. The all-weather functionality of this garment is enhanced by a handy internal waterproof pocket where riders can store their electronic devices in bad weather, as well as chest vents and side exhaust zippers for hot sessions.
