With the S-M10, Alpinestars' helmet development team designed the helmet to offer the perfect blend of excellent ventilation and unsurpassed comfort, creating the lightest possible helmet, all without compromising on any other front.

The S-M10's design offers a smooth, attractive, and aerodynamic profile, streamlined and free of any external channels or features that could act as load points in the event of an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet's construction.

The surface curvature helps reduce friction upon impact, allowing for deflection and more efficient energy transfer to protect the rider's head from forces directed at the skull and referred to the neck and spine.

The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures that each helmet shell size has its own appropriate shell size to offer the most anatomical solution for the wide variety of fit needs worldwide. It offers four different helmet shell sizes (S, M, L, and XL) and six consumer sizes (XS to XXL) to ensure riders get the correct fit that not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but also, more importantly, improves the helmet's effectiveness in the event of an impact.

The helmet shell construction uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 1) 3K Carbon, a high-density carbon outer layer that improves the strength and energy dissipation efficiency of the shell; 2) a unidirectional carbon composite layer that provides increased radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection to reduce transmitted impact energy; and 3) an aramid fiber layer that provides critical penetration protection. This combination of layers achieves even greater performance with an epoxy resin bond that offers the best possible strength and energy management; the limited deflection of the outer shell means that energy is spread wider and better absorbed by the 4-density EPS liner.

The unique shell layering process used in the S-M10 construction results in extremely effective impact protection. The S-M10 delivers linear and oblique impact performance that exceeds the current helmet regulation standards. For direct linear impacts, meaning an impact at a 90-degree angle between the helmet and an object, the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by an average magnitude of 46% for normal-speed impacts. New to the ECE 22.06 standard, the new requirements now include low- and high-speed linear impacts, where the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Linear Acceleration standards by 23% and 28%, respectively.

And for rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where the impact energy comes from an angle other than a 90-degree or right-angle linear impact, the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.0 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%.

Newly redesigned chin bar profile, where the base area has been specifically sculpted to provide a raised relief section to clear the collarbone, with a new, softer EPS liner that extends beyond the helmet shell itself and is covered with a more flexible rubber compound that reduces the risk of any type of collarbone injury.

Removable side pads made of a semi-soft polymer for increased protection provide a larger contact area to help spread impact energy.
