S1-XR GP is the new racing helmet by Suomy, a benchmark for high performance on the track.

Designed, engineered and developed in Italy with the help of the most advanced digital tools, the Suomy helmet was developed by Ducati Corse MotoGP World Champion Pecco Bagnaia to maximize performance and take it to a higher level.
Its outer shell is made of tricomposite fiber that allows for a very light shell but at the same time even more resistant to impacts.
S1-XR GP is the synthesis of an in-depth and innovative study that combines surprising aerodynamics, optimized in the different riding positions and an astonishing field of vision designed to maximize performance and increase active safety.
SHELL
The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fibers (Carbon, fiberglass, aramid fibers) a new stratification that allows for a lighter but at the same time more protective shell. To satisfy the most demanding customers, S1-XR GP is produced in three different shells: S, M and L.
PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE
The internal polystyrene shell is made in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) with variable density to obtain better ergonomics and is made in variable densities.
This feature allows for a gradual and progressive absorption of the energy produced by the impact. Even if most of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is fundamental for the absorption of residual energy.
A different density of polystyrene allows to optimize the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene system, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet, as required by the strict FIM regulations.
VISOR
The visor is made of injection-molded polycarbonate, scratch-resistant with variable thickness, easy to remove thanks to a system that does not require any tools. The compact visor mechanism is made of a special light metal alloy that gives greater solidity to the assembly. The visor is also equipped with a "Racing Lock System" locking mechanism also in light metal alloy (Pat Pend). This mechanism reduces the possibility of the visor detaching in the event of an impact and allows for more intuitive opening/closing. The S1-XR GP is designed for tear-off lenses.
The visor supplied is transparent.
PINLOCK
The S1-XR GP is equipped with the PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120 recessed anti-fog system, the best performing on the market.

VENTILATION
It is during the hottest Grand Prix that the maximum is required of the rider, being able to count on an efficient ventilation system makes the difference in maintaining the rider's concentration at high levels. The S1-XR GP features seven air intake ducts that work in conjunction with a perfectly integrated extraction channel system, ensuring excellent airflow inside the helmet. The extraction of hot air is carefully designed; two drowned air extractors, together with the rear spoiler, create a Venturi effect by extracting the internal hot air.
INTERIORS
The cheek pads and the liner can be removed, washed and replaced. They are made of high-quality Hydrocool fabric, a fabric that offers the following characteristics:
- rapid heat dissipation
- maintenance of a pleasant feeling of cool and dry
- lightness, softness and breathability
The cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in an emergency thanks to the quick release system. The S1-XR GP is designed for the camel-bag system, easy and intuitive to install.
RETENTION SYSTEM
The strap is equipped with a double metal DD-ring system.
