The S-M10 design offers a smooth, attractive, aerodynamic profile free of channels and external features that could act as load points in the event of an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet structure.
The curvature of the surface helps reduce friction on impact, allowing for deflection and more efficient energy transfer to protect the rider's head from direct forces on the skull and those transmitted to the neck and spine.
TECHNICAL DATA SHEET:
• Motocross/Enduro Helmet
• Composite Fiber Shell
• The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures that each helmet size has its appropriate shell to offer the most anatomical solution for the different fit needs around the world. Four different shell sizes are available—S, M, L, and XL—and six user sizes, from XS to XXL, to ensure riders get the correct fit that not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but above all, improves the helmet's effectiveness in the event of an impact.
• The helmet shell construction uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 1) A high-density 3K carbon outer layer improves the strength and energy dissipation efficiency of the shell; 2) A unidirectional carbon composite layer provides significantly greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection to reduce transmitted impact energy; and 3) An aramid fiber layer provides critical penetration protection. This combination of layers offers even higher performance thanks to the epoxy resin, which offers the best possible strength and energy distribution; the limited deflection of the outer shell allows energy to be spread more widely and better absorbed by the 4-density EPS liner.
• The result of the unique shell layup process used in the construction of the S-M10 is extremely effective impact protection. The SM10 provides linear and oblique impact performance that exceeds the limits of current helmet regulatory standards. For direct linear impacts, meaning an impact at a 90-degree angle between the helmet and an object, the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 with an average of 46% for regular-velocity impacts. New requirements for ECE 22.06 include low- and high-velocity linear impacts, for which the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 peak linear acceleration standards by 23% and 28%, respectively. • For rotational acceleration and oblique impacts, where the impact energy comes from an angle other than a 90-degree linear or straight-line impact, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%.
• The new chin bar profile, where the base area has been specifically sculpted to provide a raised relief section to clear the collarbone, features a new, softer EPS liner that extends beyond the helmet shell and is covered with a more flexible rubber compound that reduces the risk of collarbone injury.
• Removable side pads made of a semi-soft polymer for added protection provide a larger contact area to help distribute impact energy.
• The patented A-Head Fitment System allows you to easily adjust the angle and height of the helmet on your head.
• Ultra-ventilated helmet with 28 individual intake and exhaust ports, excluding the eye port, with 18 intakes and 10 exhausts.
• MIPS multi-directional impact protection system.
• ERS emergency visor release and a new visor extension to protect from cold and sun.
• New ejection technology includes a helmet removal system.
• Double D buckle
• Lightweight ECE 1260g and DOT 1360g for a size medium, 1310g with side protection and 1370g with visor extension.
• The S-M10 is available in two versions: ECE R 22.06 and ECE R 22.06/DOT.
